OSCommerce Installation and Confuguration
Welcome Page
Once you have successfully uploaded the "catalog" folder, open your web browser and visit the "install" folder within the "catalog" folder or public_html folder, for example:
http://www.yourdomain.com/install
or
http://www.yourdomain.com/catalog/install
When you enter above url, you will see Welcom Page, click on "Install a new online store".

New Installation
In this step you will found 2 option 1) import catalog Database 2)Automatic Configuration, check both options and click on "Continue" Button

Database Import Configuration
This step required oscommerce database information as follows
- Database server address
- Database server username
- Database server password
- Database name

Database Table Prefix
This option helps to avoid any possible conflicts with the use of table names that may already exist on the server.
Persistent Connections
Persistent connections may improve the performance of dedicated servers that experience high loads.
Session Storage
The session data osCommerce uses on a per customer basis can either be stored in the database or on the web server as files.
I recommend you should store sessions in database for security reasons.
Once you add information correctly, then click on "Continue" button.
Successful Database Connection
If you added database information correctly, then you will see this screen.

Clickon "Continue" button to proceed next step
Successful Database Import
Then you will will see this screen, it means you database import was successful.

OsCommerce Configuration
This step show you OsCommerce configuration
- Webserver address
- Location of the osCommerce installation
- Secure webserver address (optional)

add information correctly, you can also use by default information.
Successful Configuration
When the webserver has been configured, you will see this screen that say OsCommerce Configuration was successfully completed.

Secure Webserver Configuration
This step is used for secure SSL connections have been enabled in the (normal) webserver configuration step.

Successful Installation
When you see this screen, it means you have installed osCommerce successfully.

If you see shopping cart then click on Catalog, if you want to enter admin section, then clock Administration Tool.
